9 Squares is a project in which each animated GIFs together act out 9 of the 12 principles of animation, defined by Walt Disney's original group of animators known as the "Nine Old Men".

~ I started with sketching out the action, selecting the color scheme, and figuring out how to make everything loop.

~ From there I created 9 individual GIFs and combined them into one, all using After Effects.
