This amusing short video is of a robot I designed in After Effects that helped me enact techniques needed to create a character rig that comes to life with random animated motions.

~ I first sketched the robot and the effects I wanted which included the robot looking like he is speaking, moving, and actually activated. 

~ With the use of shape layers, trim paths, track mattes, text fields, and expressions I was able to construct the robot in After Effects.
